In this photo, Alex Honnold sits on a ledge midway up Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, 1,444 m above the valley floor. Alex is considered one of the world’s best free soloists (climbing without ropes). Below is a terrifying video that 60 minutes did with Alex.

Venice, the “city of Canals”, is slowly sinking. But to make things worse, heavy rains and high tides have brought some of the worst flooding seen in recent years. Here are a few of the more interesting photos of Venice underwater, via the Atlantic.
In this photo, a seahorse is seen looking at its reflection on a diver’s watch underwater.
Seahorses range in size from 0.6 to 14 inches and are mostly found in tropical waters.

Jeff Pang is a computer scientist who describes himself as a hiker/backpacker/mountaineer first and a photographer second.
