SAFARI IN ZIMBABWE
See the world’s biggest animals, uncaged.
Most any zoo has lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. To see these animals in their natural habitat is something else entirely. Named “the big five” as the five hardest animals to track, experienced guides lead safaris in national parks around Africa, helping their guests hunt for once in a lifetime photos.
A massive elephant and her babies drink from a water hole while a pride of lions attacks a crocodile. Buffaloes and rhinos roam through the grass while a leopard takes in the views from a tree.
hough there are many amazing parks around Africa for a safari, Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe is one of the best for spotting animals.
Not far away is Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. At nearly twice the height of Niagara Falls, and in a well-conserved lush area, you’ll want to spend hours being refreshed by the views and the cool mist. Do as you please. Unlike the lions, Victoria Falls doesn’t bite.
