Our photo pick of the day is “Flight of the Rays,” taken by German conservation photographer Florian Schultz in the Sea of Cortez, off the coast of Baja California in Mexico. In this photo thousands of sting rays are swimming together in a massive school, as seen on an aerial expedition. The photo won the ‘Underwater World’ category at the 2010 Environment Photographer of the Year awards. We were so impressed by some of the other photo winners, that we’ve included our favourites in the gallery above.
